VBS, and other happenings.

Our church had VBS last week and between me and my sisters taking my camera, I literally got 497 pictures...I cut that down a lot though since my mom is the one who really needed the pictures for the church's Facebook page. I've also started editing some of the pictures a little, I've never done that before so that has been fun. Here are a few of them.

Angie, doing crafts.

This is Cole and Ashlee, our newest church members. I love them!

Angie and Bella. She made me do this.

Some of the kids during craft time.

A bunch of workers doing nothing. And Paul dancing to the music lol.

The guys stayed outsit for recreation all week. And it was HOT.

VBS was a lot of fun and such a blessing. We had a ton of people from church come and help and it was a good time to get to know people better, as well as get to know some of the kids.

On Wednesday of this week, our church's youth group, and also a few others went to the farmer's market to help out with Second Harvest and distributing food to those in need. That was fun too, we stuffed bags with canned goods and juice and pasta and salad, and the guys helped people carry food to their cars. No one would really let me do anything so I just took pictures at this too. :)

Cute little girl with no shoes on!

Our whole group.

Joe and T.J. I love how the "We Appreciate our Customers" sign is behind them haha.

Afterwards, Joe decided to play baseball with rocks. It took him like 8 tries to hit one.

And then Ashlee tried and hit one on the first try haha.

T.J. hit one too, but here he is just posing lol.

I can't believe that today I am 34 weeks pregnant. I still have had a wonderful pregnancy. I don't like to complain about anything because I feel so blessed to be able to have a baby. I have never been nauseous, don't have trouble sleeping, don't waddle (yet, thank you God) but I have had daily back pain the past few days. And of course it's like the hottest summer in history. God has a sense of humor doesn't he?? But I'm still not complaining. I'm coming to the end of this and I'm so happy to have experienced it. If everything goes the way I want it to (which I'm positive it won't) then I could be having my baby one month from today! August 22nd is my grandpa's birthday, and only 11 days before my due date. Also, it would allow me to go to Women of Faith the weekend before (at 38 weeks pregnant) and then have her when I come home. Doesn't that sound like the perfect plan? Now, someone get Bella to agree with me...

4th of July, Birthdays, and Baby Showers

Once again, we have had a ton of things going on. On the 3rd we went to my aunt Susan's house for fireworks, like we have the past couple of years. This is the only good picture I got out of that event. I wasn't in a picture taking mood I guess.

On the 4th we went to see fireworks on Fort Knox. I attempted to take fireworks pictures with my camera and they turned out pretty well. I must not have been in a picture taking mood the entire weekend because we were there with family and THREE other pregnant friends and I didn't even get a belly picture. Sigh.

Last Saturday, the 9th, we celebrated my grandpa's 70th birthday. It was a lot of fun to spend some time with family and it helped me to remember how blessed I am to still have all four of my grandparents. These are a few pictures Bree took while playing around with my camera.

My cousin Alan.

Bree and my cousin Sarah.

My grandma.

Me and all my belly glory.

Then, on Sunday the 10th, Joe and I had another baby shower at his parents' church. It was so nice and we got a lot of things we needed. I'm really starting to feel ready (as ready as we can be I guess) for Bella to be here.
Presents!

This is a lot of Joe's mom's side of the family.

He helped me out at this one. :)

So there is my busy last weekend, and this week we had VBS at church. It was a lot of fun and I took a ton of pictures every night. I haven't even attempted to upload them. My sisters stole my camera a couple nights so there are probably hundreds of pictures to go through. I will work on a post about VBS hopefully tomorrow. And with that, I bid you farewell.

So much has been going on, but honestly I sit down to write a blog about it and get lazy and don't do it. But I figured it's already the 9th of July (ridiculous) so I should update this thing.

I had my first baby shower on the 26th and it was so much fun. One of my closest friends, Kayla, who is also pregnant, had her baby shower the day before so I was definitely excited about it. There were tons of people there and I can't even begin to tell you all about everything we got. But we are definitely blessed to have so many people love and care about us and Bella. My sister took about 200 pictures at the shower (I am only exaggerating a little...) so I am just going to post a few of them.

This is the cake that my grandma made. It turned out so cute and looked just like the invitations.

This is my best friend since I was 11, Heather. She came down from Maryland for the shower, and I hadn't seen her in two years, since the day I got married. It was nice to have her there.

This is the quilt that Kayla's mom made for me. It is so beautiful and has Bella's name and our nursery theme in it. I love it so much. Kayla's mom has made me so much stuff this entire pregnancy. Tons of burp cloths and bibs and I am so grateful.

This is a blanket that my Aunt Anita made, it is adorable and has a little hood on it.

This is a quilt that my mom's friend Sheila made. She has known me since I was five, it was so special to get something like that from her.

My grandma is making all the crib bedding, and she gave me a little preview of it with this, which hangs on the side of the crib and you can put odds and ends things in it.

My grandma also made this cute little dress, which will probably serve as an Easter dress for Bella, as long as it fits at that time.

My grandma ALSO made this blanket (I know she is amazing). She has made one for every grandchild and this is her first great grandchild.

It got really hot so after a while I started to feel kinda silly lol.

I had to put this in here. It is an adorable little raincoat that my friend Angie got. One of my favorite gifts!

And here is me and my momma, because I love her.

So that was a fun filled day/weekend. The next day was my two year wedding anniversary! Joe and I didn't do much for it, we had gone to dinner the week before. That was the day Heather flew back home so I just took her to the airport and things like that. Even though Joe and I didn't do anything huge, I am so blessed to have been married to him for two years. He is perfect for me and I'm so happy we are having a baby. :)

We have had a very busy summer, because the next weekend after my shower was Joe's cousin Adam's wedding. Adam is Joe's closest cousin in a very big family. They are a year apart and grew up together. Heather, his wife, is hilarious and I just love her. We always have a good time when we are with them. Joe was the best man in his wedding so we spent the weekend focused on that.
The happy couple's first kiss.

Joe giving his best man speech.

The four of us at the reception.

Joe and I haven't taken any actual "trips" this summer, I wouldn't say, but we did go stay with my mom in Georgia/South Carolina for 4 or 5 days at the beginning of June. That was a lot of fun and the first time I have seen the ocean this year. It's just not the same as Panama City Beach though. The sand is so white at the Gulf of Mexico and this South Carolina sand was brown and ugly. I am biased though, I love my Florida.

I have also been spending a lot of time with other pregnant people! Like I mentioned, my friend Kayla is due August 26th, and my friend Amy is due August 9th and a new friend, Whitney, who I just met but Kayla and Amy knew from high school, is due October 9th. It is crazy, it's like it's in the water around here. But it is a lot of fun to spend time with people who are going through the exact same thing as you. Here is a picture of me, Kayla, and Amy at Kayla's baby shower.

Okay so clearly I need to blog more often, as this blog is ridiculously long now. Hopefully I will remember that! Happy Saturday to you all!
