My Poor Phone...

So over the years I have had many different phones and have dropped those phones multiple times. I have always been lucky and no major damage has occurred. Until yesterday.

We were at my in-laws house, getting everything ready to leave. Joe handed me a bunch of random items to carry to the car, and in the midst of the shuffle, I dropped my phone. I thought nothing of it, until I realized it looked like this:

And another angle, so you can see what I'm dealing with.

Oh yeah, and my phone is so old they couldn't replace it, so they are sending me this:

Which is quite lovely, except that I had to pay ONE HUNDRED AND THIRTY DOLLARS for it. Now I know this is much less than the retail price of a new smart phone, but I pay insurance every month on our phones. And FOR WHAT, I ask you?!? Blah blah blah first world problems, that's all this post is about!

Oh and I wanted to share one adorably adorable pic before I go:

P.S. This is what she did while I was writing this...

Bella's one year pictures and update.

We recently got one year pictures taken of Bella and I could not be happier with how they turned out. I really can't believe my baby girl will be one a week from tomorrow!! Her birthday party is this coming Saturday and I can't wait! It's going to be so fun. Well, for me at least. :)

She has been doing so many new things lately. She started clapping, thanks to Joe's mom for teaching her patty cake every day! She says (I may have mentioned this, who knows) Mama, Dada, woah/wow, yeah, and bye bye. She used to wave a lot but I guess she is too good for that now.

She doesn't walk. Doesn't even stand up without holding on to something yet. I know she could, but she just won't! I mean she probably is just avoiding walking because crawling is just as good and we carry her everywhere anyways, right?? Oh well, it will happen soon enough!

She is wearing 12 months/18 month clothing right now. She is kind of in between. A lot of 12 month stuff is too small or too short, etc. But a lot of 18 month things are too big. So we put her mostly in 18 month. She is wearing size four shoes. I hope she will at least be wearing that until the end of the year, but who knows!

She hates hairbows and will barely leave them on for any amount of time, but she loves hats! We put one on her to go to a Louisville Bats game recently and she didn't even mess with it, it was so cute. She really is looking more and more like a little girl everyday, not a baby. She has 4 teeth still, 2 on top, 2 on bottom. I'm sure more are cutting through but I haven't noticed any recently.

She has started putting items up to her ear like they are a cell phone. It's so cute, but I think it confuses her because she actually expects someone to be on the other end, talking to her! She is so silly.

I cannot wait until her birthday, it is a little stressful but I know we will have a good time. I also took the day off work on her actual birthday so we get a day just the two of us! I am really looking forward to that.

Oh P.S. my goal is to blog EVERYDAY this week. Haha we will see how THAT goes.

Mother's Day/Father's Day

For my first Mother's Day, Joe got me a Pandora charm bracelet with two charms, one that says "mom" and one that says "mother" in a heart and has a matching one that says "daughter" in a heart that I can give to Bella one day. It was so sweet and exactly what I wanted!

Also on Mother's Day, we FINALLY had a baby dedication for Bella. She wore a beautiful dress my grandma made and Joe's parents and sisters came. It was a good day!

For Father's Day, I made this for Joe:

He loved it!

8-ish/9-ish months :)

Yes, I know....today is July 1st so Bella is technically almost 10 months but whatever! I'm busy!

Bella didn't have an 8 month check up, but at her 9 month check up she was 20 lbs, 10 oz, and 27 inches long. Right on track and very healthy. She has had some allergy issues here and there and she did have her first ear infection :( but we are blessed to have only encountered minor health issues so far!

Here are a couple cute pics of her at the doctor.

I love this one. I took it with instagram, which is awesome. She's so cute.

Being lazy with Daddy waiting on the doctor.

Let's see, in other areas, the main things Bella can say and actually understand what they mean are Mama, Dada, and Bye-bye. She says bye-bye while waving, it's the cutest thing ever. We are now working on teaching her to clap. She has 3.5 teeth (the 4th one is not quite through yet) and has been eating a lot more table food and learning to chew. She has puffs and mum mums all the time and has tried gravy, ice cream, chocolate fudge, mashed potatoes, broccoli, and a bunch of other stuff I can't remember. I love seeing her reactions to different foods.

She is not walking, I don't think that will happen for a while, but she pulls up on everything, crawls all over creation, and will sometimes walk along furniture while holding on to it. It is crazy, it seems like she just learns something new and the next day is doing something else! I still can't get used to the fact that she crawls, and here she is already pulling up on everything!

She is too much fun! Seriously the light of my life, I love that girl.

Here is her 8 month pic:

And 9 months:
